Robert Davey recently sold his dental practice and achieved in excess of the asking price. Upon reflection of the biggest challenges he faced, he commented:
“For me, it was the leading up to the exchange of contracts and putting all the information together with the solicitors. The process itself was quite stressful and I felt as if it was longer than it needed to be.
“The CQC changeover process was also tricky but no more than I expected it to be.”
With this is mind, what advice would Robert give to future sellers?
“Be prepared for a lengthy process! Ultimately, it’s a two-way task and unless both sides work at it, delays are likely to occur – especially with elements of the sale such as due diligence.
